Is there a buy-in fee charged to new residents?
There isn’t a buy-in fee charged to new residents of Queen Anne Manor. There is a Reservation Fee of $1,000 that reserves an apartment for thirty days and covers the cost of the comprehensive assessment required for each new residents and other expenses that are incurred as part of the move-in process.

At Queen Anne Manor a new resident is required to pay the first and last month’s rent upon move-in. Following move-in, residents are billed for rent and services on a monthly basis. The Reservation Fee described above covers the expense of cleaning and minor repairs necessary when a resident moves out of the facility. The resident will receive an additional charge if it is necessary to make major repairs to an apartment for damage that occurred during occupancy.

Is Queen Anne Manor a 'locked facility"?
Queen Anne Manor is not officially a locked facility, nor does it have any special units for residents with Alzheimer’s that are locked at all times. However, the facility has many precautions and procedures that are in place to ensure the safety of our residents, including closed circuit cameras placed at various entrances to the building and a sign-in procedure that all guests must complete.

May I cook in my apartment?
Each apartment comes furnished with a microwave oven and a refrigerator. However, because the facility serves three meals each day and nutritious snacks are available between meals, most residents don’t feel the need to prepare food in their apartments.

How do residents spend their days?
Queen Anne Manor offers a full calendar of activities that are planned to meet the diverse interests of our residents. For example, each day after breakfast, residents may participate in a group activity that involves reading the daily newspaper and discussing the news of the day. Following this activity, residents have the choice to participate in either chair exercises or chair yoga. Throughout the day there are numerous additional activities for residents offered by the facility.

Because our facility is located in a beautiful, residential neighborhood on the top of Queen Anne Hill, our residents are able to take advantage of the numerous amenities in the community. We are a short walk away from restaurants, grocery stores, shops, parks and the Queen Anne Community Center. Therefore, our residents are able to participate in Queen Anne community activities, as well as those offered by the facility.
