La Bella Vita Social Club is a new activity
program at Queen Anne Manor. La Bella Vita means The Good Life in
Italian and our goal is to enhance the quality of life for the
residents who attend the program. The Social Club provides an
enriching alternative for residents who are unable to independently
participate in the Queen Anne Manor activity program. It fills a
crucial void for those residents with physical or cognitive issues
who would benefit greatly from the social contact and sense of
community created by The Club.
Therapeutic activities offered by La Bella Vita Social Club are
tailored to meet participants' individual social and cognitive needs
with an emphasis on dignity and respect for each person. Music, art
and pet therapy are offered, along with other therapeutic activities
including chair exercises, yoga, craft projects, games and other
structured events. Participants are Queen Anne Manor residents or
may come from the community at large.
The Social Club operates from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily. It is
staffed with employees from our Activity Department, who are trained
to guide residents in structured activities designed specifically
for this population. Queen Anne Manor caregivers and medication
technicians from our Resident Services Department provide all
resident care. Our Food Service Department provides a healthful
lunch for participants and nutritious snacks are available
throughout the day.
The cost for attendance at La Bella Vita Social Club is $10.00
hourly for Queen Anne Manor residents and $15.00 hourly for
non-resident attendees.
