Artist Jackie Brook's Work On Display

Please come by Queen Anne Manor to view the beautiful and inspirational art of Jackie Brooks which is displayed all through out this historical building...the site of the original Seattle Children's Hospital.

Jackie Brook has been a professional painter for more than 40 years and has degrees in music and art. She has been accepted into more than a hundred regional, national, and international juried competitions, winning awards in half of them. She has numerous publications in magazines, including American Artist’s Watercolor and The Artists’ Magazine Watercolor Magic, as well as several books. Major solo exhibitions have included shows in Nicosia, Cyprus; Falmouth, UK; and Sioux Falls, in her home state of South Dakota.

Jackie’s art frequently explores the subjects of music and musicians. This reflects her long experience as a violinist in chamber groups and symphony orchestras.

“My fascination with figures and faces is closely tied to the ‘shapes’ we hear in music, as well as the energy and dynamism musicians show when they perform,” says Jackie of her art.

”Another source of inspiration for my art is found in the exquisite refractory nature of crystal.”
